Sheldon Tyler Ingalls

Evaluation

Sheldon is a strong-bodied player who showed a quality hit tool throughout the evaluation. At the plate, he hits from a slightly bent stance with a quiet load that transitions into an aggressive attack angle, allowing him to produce quality contact when he stays on time. He posted a respectable 7.38-second 60-yard dash, demonstrating adequate athleticism. Defensively, continued improvement will be necessary for him to remain on the infield. He should focus on working from the ground up, maintaining proper posture, and staying below the baseball to create cleaner fielding actions and more consistent throws. Emphasizing a controlled, fundamentally sound defensive approach—and understanding that “slow is fast”—will help improve his rhythm, consistency, and overall defensive performance. With continued development on the defensive side, Sheldon has the offensive tools to make an impact at the next level.
