Kole Depew

Evaluation

Kole is a right-handed hitting outfielder with a solid frame and the tools to continue developing with focused instruction. At the plate, he currently features a longer swing path with a heavy lead-leg load and a tendency to cast his hands through the zone, which limits his ability to consistently stay on time and drive the baseball. Emphasizing a more efficient weight transfer through his swing and keeping his hands tighter to the body should improve both his bat speed and overall contact quality. Defensively, Kole competes well in the outfield but would benefit from improving his first-step quickness, overall speed, and his attack angles to the baseball to maximize his range. Continued work on these areas will allow him to become a more complete player and better utilize his physical tools.
